DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - A couple of events urging a "no" vote on the so-called "marriage amendment" in November are being held in Duluth Monday. A gathering of men opposed to the amendment will be held at the Lakeplace Plaza at Lake Avenue and Superior Street at 5 p-m. Speakers will include Andy Mundt from Minnesota United for All Families and several area residents. At 5:30 p-m, a Town Hall Forum on how the marriage amendment will negatively impact children will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and will feature Dr. Heather Winesett, a pediatrician at St. Luke's Hospital and several other speakers. Minnesotans will vote on a constitutional amendment in November which would define marriage as only between one man and one woman. The latest polls suggest voters are nearly split on the issue.
