DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The AAR Company, which provides commercial airline maintenance and repair services, has announced that it has passed the Federal Aviation Administration's certification approval process for its new facility in Duluth.  That paves the way for AAR to begin operations at the 188 thousand square foot facility at the airport later this year.  Operations are expected to launch in December and could reach full capacity within a year.  Hiring of aviation maintenance technicians is underway and they hope to have about a hundred employees by late next year.
