DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - After one side or the other being closed since May, the Blatnik Bridge will be open to traffic in both directions on Friday.  The two year maintenance project has detoured Superior bound traffic over the Bong Bridge over the last couple months and some single lane restrictions in that direction will still be in place next week.  Then, after a break over the winter, the project will resume again next spring.  The bridge will remain open in the 2nd year of work but lane restrictions will be in place through the summer until October of 2013.
