ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota unemployment rate dropped a tenth of a percent in March to a seasonally adjusted 5.4 percent. The state remains well below the national rate of 7.6 percent. Minnesota has gained over 46,400 jobs over the past year, a growth rate of 1.7 percent. The U-S growth rate during the same period was 1.5 percent. The Duluth-Superior Metro area employment change was up 0.9 percent, a gain of about 1200 jobs.
