DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Friday marks the first of five opportunities to get in touch with your inner aquatic research self. Starting at 12:30, UMD's Large Lakes Observatory will provide tours of the largest university-owned research vessel on the Great Lakes, the Blue Heron. The vessel will be tied up outside the Great Lakes Aquarium, where scientists will be on hand to provide demonstrations and answer questions. Four similar "LLO Science Fridays" remain: May 31, Aug. 30, Sept. 27 and Oct. 25. The events are free and open to the public.
