Something Wicked This Way Comes; NWS Issues Winter Storm Warning

Duluth, MN (KDAL) - The first major winter storm of the season appears to be headed this way.  The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Southern Saint Louis and Carlton Counties, as well as the north shore.  Forecasters now believe portions of the area could see as much as 20 inches of snow by Wednesday night.  Eight inches is possible tonight.  KDAL Chief Meteorologist Tony Schumacher says the storm will be a slow mover, bringing bouts of accumulating snow between now and Wednesday night.  Complicating matters will be blustery winds tomorrow.  With near freezing temperatures, roads have been slushy for the most part in the Twin Ports.  However conditions worsen as you head west of the area.   Once all of the snow pushes through, a cold front will bring single digit high temperatures by the weekend.  For more info about the weather click here http://kdal610.com/weather/#severe
