UNDATED (KDAL) - Last weekend's Black Woods Blizzard Tour, a snowmobile ride to fight ALS, raised a record 810 thousand dollars. 182 riders and 60 sponsors participated in the event along trails in the Lake Vermilion and Two Harbors area. This year's top fundraising team was the Polaris group of Roseau, Minnesota contributing more than 111 thousand dollars through community events and pledges. The Blizzard Tour is the largest snowmobile fundraising event in the world and has raised more than 5.1 million dollars to fight ALS over its 14 year history.
