(KDAL) - A 53-year-old Iowa man is dead after his snowmobile struck a tree about 2 miles south of the village of Cornucopia in northern Bayfield County, WI on Friday. Authorities believe that speed and alcohol were contributors in the crash, which occurred about 3 p.m. The driver of the snowmobile, whose name is being withheld pending notification of the family, was traveling with a group of nine others who had left the Iron River area for trail riding earlier in the day.
