Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Rough travel at the Head of the Lakes yesterday following snow and blowing snow that came after freezing rain and drizzle. High winds off Lake Superior didn't help. For a time Duluth and Cloquet police were recommending no travel because of the weather. The Duluth PD pulled their two wheel drive only vehicles off the road during the storm.
Much better travel conditions today. But some schools have been closed and delayed.
Itaska County Community College is closed today as are the Grand Rapids public and private schools. Greenway, Nashwauk-Keewatin Schools are Closed. Hill City Schools Closed. Deer River Schools are closed. Northwoods Community Schools are closed in Northern Wisconsin.
Running late today by two hours are classes in Cook County, Two Harbors and Silver Bay, Great Expectations, Floodwood and INDUS.
