Duluth, MN (KDAL) - The National Transportation Board issued its findings on a head-on train wreck that occurred north of Two Harbors in September of 2010. The NTSB ruled that the Canadian National crew on the south bound loaded ore train left a siding onto the mainline with permission and before an empty north bound train of empties passed by. The two trains collieded a short distance down the track from the siding.
Three locomotives and 14 rail cars left the track, every member of the crew was injured, none seriously.
