WASHINGTON, D.C. (KDAL) - Senator Al Franken has co-sponsored a bill that would address the problems facing the U-S Postal Service and modernize the system. Franken says people across the state, especially in rural areas, depend on six day mail service and says this bill would preserve Saturday delivery. The bill would also keep many processing centers from closing and repeals a law that forces the Postal Service to pre-fund 75 years of future health care benefits for retirees.
