Silver Bay, MN (KDAL) - Cleveland Cliffs is experimenting at two of its Iron Range Taconite plants with a new "super pellet."  The technology would create a product with a higher concentration of iron ore and would be more versatile to the steel industry.  It's a form of direct reduction that Cliffs says it will implement at one of its plants.  Currently the tests are being done at Silver Bay's North Shore Mining and at Eveleth Taconite.
