DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - This week Explore Minnesota Tourism named Visit Duluth's President and CEO, Terry Mattson, as the state's "Outstanding Individual In Tourism".  The award is the top state honor in the 12 billion dollar industry and reflects Mattson's long time role of driving tourism success in Duluth and northern Minnesota.  Mattson joined Visit Duluth in 1985 and was named as the organization's President in 1990.  Under his leadership, Duluth tourism tax revenues have increased in 22 of the past 23 years and have outpaced state and national economic results.
