DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Former Fox 21 meteorologist and missionary worker Chris Snider died Friday after a battle with bone cancer, according to the Support Chris Snider Facebook page. He had been fighting Osteosarcoma, an agressive bone cancer most-commonly diagnosed during the adolescent years. Snider was diagnosed with the disease at 28. Snider's sister, Tabatha, wrote on the page: "He fought a long battle with grace, humor, compassion and absolute dignity. I was and forever will be proud to say he is my brother. On behalf of my family we would like to personally thank everyone of you who donated or took the time to send a message or video of support." Tabatha Snider had recently brought her brother to Floodwood from Mississippi -- where he had been doing missionary work -- in part with donations from area residents here who wanted to help ensure Snider could live out his days locally.
