SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) - Craig Friebe, the Superior snowmobiler who was reported missing early Saturday was found just before 9 a-m on Monday. According to Superior Police, a Douglas County Highway Department employee saw a man on the ice of the Nemadji River at County Road W and stopped to check on him. Friebe told first responders that his snowmobile had run out of gas and he started walking. He was found about 20 miles from where he was last seen on Saturday. Police say Friebe was taken to a Duluth hospital for treatment of frostbite and hypothermia.
