CHISHOLM, MN (KDAL) - Students and job seekers are invited to explore career opportunities in the mining industry during "Mining Industry Day" in Chisholm on Friday.  The event is free and being held from 10 a-m to 2 p-m at the Minnesota Discovery Center.  Mining employment in northeastern Minnesota has climbed about 25 percent in the last two years and totals over 4500 jobs.  A recent analysis by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development ranked mining among the highest paying industries in the state.
