DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation Board of Trustees recently approved 583,695 dollars in grants. Several of the grants were from the Early Recovery and Immediate Response Flood Funds. The foundation promotes private giving for the public good and is a permanent community endowment built by gifts from hundreds of individuals and organizations. Since its inception in 1983, they have distributed over 39.5 million dollars to community initiatives in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
