DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Minnesota Power is outlining plans to meet the energy needs of its customers with a balanced mix of reliability, affordability and improving their environmental performance. The "Energy Forward" plan will further diversify the electric generation mix of coal, natural gas, wind and hydro plants. The plans will reduce emissions through environmental upgrades at the Boswell Energy Center, transform the Laskin Energy Center to an all natural gas fueled facility and retire one of the three coal fired units at Taconite Harbor.
