Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Congratulations to Todd McFadden of Duluth who won the Arrowhead 135 yesterday in a record setting time of fourteen hours and twenty minutes. That's the amount of time it took him to cover the distance between the starting line in International Falls to the finish line at the Fortune Bay Casino on the shore of Lake Vermillion near Tower.
McFadden took a nasty fall about thirty five miles before the end of the race and may have broken his collarbone, but he pressed on and won. It was his second attempt to win the race.
Contestants have to either bike, run or ski the distance.
