Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Look for MN-DOT crews working hard along Highway 169 today. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says road workers will be begin resurfacing a three-point-six mile stretch of 169 east of Highway 65 to the junction of Highway 73. Because of the project, traffic will be reduced to one lane. Further along the thoroughfare crews will be working on a stretch between Virginia and Tower. Among the improvements, workers will extend the shoulders, flatten hills, improve drainage and straighten curves. Along this stretch a one-and-a-half mile length will be closed, between County Road 26 and the Pike River. A detour will take drivers along County Road 26 and Highway 135.
