SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) - A $10,000 Wisconsin Department of Transportation grant will allow the Douglas County Sheriff's office to ramp-up enforcement for a couple of weeks starting Monday. The intensified enforcement will coincide with St. Patrick's Day weekend, during which residents can download a free "Drive Sober" app for smart phones. The app, put out by WisDOT's Zero In Wisconsin traffic safety campaign, would allow people to readily find taxi and bus service, estimate their blood-alcohol content or select a designated driver.
