DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - St. Louis County engineers have announced that blasting operations will begin Monday on the 12 million dollar Haines Road reconstruction project. They will be removing about 65 thousand cubic yards of rock which will then be crushed and re-used on site as roadway material and lining shoulder slopes. Blasting will occur on weekdays over the next few months between the hours of 7 a-m and 5 p-m. The Haines Road rebuilding is the largest stand-alone project ever done by St. Louis County Public Works.
