DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Tall Ships are coming back to Duluth this summer, and tickets for the popular event will go on sale Apr. 1. The event, put on by Visit Duluth, is from July 25 through July 29. It features old, multi-masted ships from bygone eras and gives visitors a chance to step aboard or even sail on one of the nine ships that are expected to visit. According to the Visit Duluth website, 250,000 people attended the 2010 Tall Ship visit, making it northern Minnesota's largest ever event. It injected $15 million into the local economy, the website said. The event will include domestic and international ships, and some highlights include Norway's SS Sorlandet, the Schooner Hindu from Key West and the Peacemaker from Brazil.
