DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The newest exhibit at the Depot in Duluth will open to the public with a special dedication and reception Thursday evening. The Immigrant Waiting Room Exhibit tells the story of the many foreign workers who came to the area to work in the lumber camps, the mines and on the railroad. In the late 1800's and early 1900's, the Immigrant Waiting Room was the first experience in a new land for many. The reception is being held from 5 to 7 p-m in the Depot's Great Hall and tours of the exhibit will follow a short program.
