DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - City Councilor Dan Hartman has been named Interim Director of Duluth's most-popular residence, the Glensheen mansion. Hartman told KDAL he'll serve two years at the post. To make time, Hartman resigned from his post as curator of the Veteran's Memorial Hall at the Depot. When he was a student at UMD, Hartman worked as a tour guide at the historic estate and wrote a paper about it. The mansion was built for Chester and Clara Congdon between 1905 and 1908 and handed over to UMD in 1968.
