DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - If your home has a boulevard between the sidewalk and the street, and that boulevard is at least four-feet wide, you could qualify for a discounted tree or trees planted by city forestry workers. It's part of the city's Re-Leaf tree planting program that provides affordable boulevard trees to its citizens while promoting the idea of an "urban forest." The cost is $25 and the city will provide the stakes and mulch but residents will be responsible for watering the trees for the first two years after planting. Trees ordered after June 1 will be planted in the fall. For more information or to place and order, go to duluthmn.gov/parks/re-leaf.
