UNDATED (KDAL) - The nine day firearms deer hunting season begins on Saturday in Wisconsin. Last year the 633 thousand hunters who purchased licenses harvested 246 thousand deer. The DNR says the hunt contributes over 1.3 billion dollars in revenue to the state. They also remind hunters that safety should be a priority, every firearm should be treated as if it is loaded, be certain of your target and what is beyond it before shooting.
