SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) - After searching for over 7 hours, a missing Duluth man was found at about 7:30 Wednesday night along the shore of Lake Superior. Vyacheslav Shcherbin was reported missing by his girlfriend when they became separated while walking back to their vehicle in the Dutchman's Creek area of Superior early Wednesday morning. Superior Police and Fire Departments, the U-S Coast Guard, Civil Air Patrol and the St. Louis County Sheriff's Department conducted extensive searches in the wooded areas and shoreline north of the Superior landfill. The man was found by a search team about a mile east of Dutchman's Creek. He appeared to be suffering from the beginning stages of hypothermia and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
