Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Late season thunderstorms blew through southern portions of our listening area Thursday, dropping large hail and snapping trees in the process. National Weather Service spotters reported penny-sized hail from outside of Pine City to Siren. High winds downed tree limbs up to eight inches in diameter. They also flipped a pontoon boat and the dock that it was tied to on Lower Clam Lake.
