Duluth, MN (KDAL) - On what was supposed to be a rainy Saturday morning, Mother Nature held off just long enough for this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s Duluth Area Walk. More than 500 people turned out for the walk at the lakeside entrance to Paulucci Hall at the DECC. The forecast might’ve called for rain, but for a time the sun was shining. Organizer Brenda Beard says their goal was to raise 62-thousand dollars. At last check, they were still counting the money raised by participating teams and from silent auctions inside Paulucci Hall. But she says the event was a success. As walkers began finishing up, the clouds began to darken and before noon the first raindrops were falling in downtown Duluth.
