Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Authorities say a concerned citizen’s report led them to the arrest of an armed intruder outside of Aurora. According to investigators, a deputy was looking into a report about a woman walking on a rural road without proper clothing. The deputy discovered that the woman, 19 year-old Jessica Zapf of Gilbert, had allegedly stolen a handgun from a nearby home and then tracked her to another home a mile away. Deputies were able to get the homeowner out safely. The elderly woman had no idea that an armed intruder had entered her house. Zapf was later taken into custody without incident. She faces a charge of burglary and theft.
