(WNFL)- Pittsburgh Pirates starter Gerrit Cole will face the Milwaukee Brewers tonight for the first time since his words triggered a bench-clearing brawl last month. But instead of worrying about any spillover, Brewers' manager Ron Roenicke is more concerned about fielding a competitive team. Ryan Braun is expected to return from a strained oblique muscle, but that's not definite yet. Aramis Ramirez is headed to the disabled list with a strained hamstring from Saturday night. And Carlos Gomez -- who walked toward Cole in the first visible sign of the melee -- could get his suspension finalized after his recent appeal of a three-game punishment. Tonight's starting pitcher for Milwaukee, Marco Estrada, says the bad blood appears to have blown over -- and he doesn't believe anything will happen in the wake of the melee. The right-hander Estrada is 2-and-1 with an ERA of just over three-and-a-half. Cole is 3-and-2 with an ERA of almost three-and-two-thirds. The Brewers have a two-game winning streak. At 24-and-14, they continue to lead the National League Central by five-and-a-half games over Saint Louis -- and seven-and-a-half over the fourth-place Pirates.
