DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The northbound I-35 ramps at 27th Avenue West in Duluth will close Thursday night from 7 to 9:30 p-m.
As part of the massive Twin Ports Interchange project, the closure is needed for construction activities and the placement of concrete for the bridge approach panel.
A variety of lane shifts, closure and detours can be expected as the current “can of worms” intersection is rebuilt over the next several years.
Meanwhile, MnDOT maintenance crews will be conducting guardrail repairs on Thursday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the ramp from northbound I-35 to eastbound Hwy 2 at the Bong Bridge.
A detour will be required with eastbound Hwy 2 traffic will be directed to exit at 40th Avenue West to Superior Street to 46th Avenue West to merge on to the Bong Bridge.
