DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A combination of snow, rain, freezing rain and sleet is expected across the region Thursday into Friday morning.
The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 7 a-m Friday for the mixed precipitation and winds gusting to 45 miles per hour resulting in some hazardous travel conditions.
The advisory is for most of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
Additional snow will total 2 to 5 inches with higher amounts expected along the North Shore.
Snow that fell early Thursday morning at the Duluth Weather Service was enough to surpass the previous seasonal record of 135.4 inches, making 2022-23 the snowiest season ever in Duluth.
North central Minnesota, including International Falls and Ely, has a Winter Storm Warning through 1 p-m Friday for up to a foot of new snow.
