ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – According to the latest Department of Natural Resources survey, the Minnesota moose population has remained relatively stable for the 11th year in a row.
There are an estimated 4700 moose in the state, the highest number since 2011.
While the stable population over recent years is good news, DNR researchers point out that the numbers are 47 percent lower than the peak population in 2006.
The survey is available online at the DNR website mndnr.gov/Moose
