DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A 34 year old inmate in the St. Louis County Jail was found non responsive in his cell Thursday morning.
Jail staff initiated life saving efforts and performed CPR when he was discovered.
Medical first responders were called and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says there were no altercations or any obvious reasons for the death and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) was called in to investigate.
The cause of death is also pending autopsy and toxicology results.
The inmate has been identified as Dustin Paul Eggert from Duluth.
